This is an old dam on Lower Cedar Creek near Mackay, Idaho, an old historic mining town. This is what is left of the dam, which used to divert water into a wooden pipe, travel about ¼ mile downstream, then generated electricity for the old mines around Mackay. Remnants of the old wooden pipe can be seen as you hike along the trail.
